Operating Model Assessment

Is your organization set up to reach its targets?

The operating model is a key part of a company’s success. In a constantly changing environment, it’s essential to assess whether your operating model aligns with your business objectives and isn’t becoming a barrier to evolution.

  • Do you feel like you no longer have complete control of the situation?
  • Are your costs growing exponentially compared to your business?
  • Does the level of operational complexity seem to have increased?
  • Do you think you’re not fully exploiting the market’s potential?

Act like the hermit crab

What does a hermit crab do when the shell it has chosen becomes too small? It finds another one that suits it better and moves into its new home.
People and companies have a natural resistance to leaving the known path for an unknown one.
With the Operating Model Assessment, we help you understand if, and to what extent, your operating model is adequate for your needs, those of your customers, and the market in which you operate.

The solution?

The assessment analyzes the various dimensions of your Operating Model (organization, processes, digital, assets, KPIs, people), their alignment with the company strategy, and the model of interaction with customers, to identify potential areas for improvement.

This assessment verifies the consistency of the model with the business strategy and customer interaction model, identifying areas that need intervention to align the operating model with changing business and market needs.

HOW

Starting from the available existing data, the six areas of the operating model are examined and analyzed, ensuring their alignment with the strategic directives of the organization and/or function.

From this analysis, gaps are identified and categorized according to the different areas, pinpointing initiatives/opportunities for improvement. These initiatives are then mapped according to impact and execution effort to ensure proper prioritization.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

The outcome of the Assessment is a proposal that selects one or more priority initiatives, defining the objectives, resources, and timeframes necessary for executing an improvement project.

We propose an agile deployment through Sprints. In a Sprint a fixed time frame and defined resources are established to focus on the agreed-upon objective.

At the end of the defined time frame, the results are evaluated. Unmet objectives will be considered for inclusion in the next Sprint.
